Too often in hockey we focus on becoming better as hockey players but not better as people, in late 2020 after the cancellation of our hockey season I underwent a journey to become a better person as an example to my players and those in the community. I finished running the 3000km that Terry Fox had left when he had to stop due to cancer and in the process helped raise funds for cancer research. I did this to prove that on or off the ice you can make a difference as big as you can imagine.
